Happy Birthday Talley

I know you’ve all seen Talley in her tu-tu below, but I wanted to share this sweet photo collage of her in her Birthday Hat. I won’t tell you how long it took before I caught her with it on her head, but I think it was well worth the effort.

Bridal Gala Wrap-Up

February 20, 2006 | Filed Under Uncategorized | 1 Comment

On Sunday we spent our day at Central Park in Murfreesboro for the Bridal Gala.
We met several brides-to-be, grooms-to-be and their supportive friends and families. I sincerely appreciate you stopping by to talk with us about this very exciting time in your life. Some folks were just engaged at Valentine’s Day, and then there were some who have been planning their events for the past couple years. No matter where you are in the process, please let me know how I can help you make things easier.

I must express a BIG thank you to my husband, Brad, my Mom, Karen, Step-Dad, Bret and Sister-in-Law, Shai, for all of the help with loading, unloading, setting up, decorating, working, tearing down and bringing home the beautiful booth. My step-dad Bret designed and built the booth last year and we have received so many compliments on it…he is SO talented. Doing the show is a lot of hard work for my whole family, but it is definitely worth it for us to have the opportunity to share our work with you.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to Marisa Sellinger, who won the Bridal Portrait Session at the Show. Marisa will receive a 2-hour Bridal Session, and an 11×14 Signature Series Portrait in a custom frame, valued at $300. Marisa and her fiance, Matthew Fisher, will be getting married in Washington DC in October. I am looking forward to our session, Marisa!

Wake up to Snow

February 18, 2006 | Filed Under Uncategorized | 1 Comment

Well, I was skeptical at bedtime, but we did in fact wake up to snow. This would normally be a cause for happiness and maybe a snowball or two. However, today is the big day for constructing our Bridal Gala booth and we have lots to get done today. Hopefully things will clear off and we can safely get in and out to get ready.

I am still optimistic - that’s who I am - that we will be able to get around fine and the show will go as planned tomorrow. Hope to see you there! It’s not too late to download your $2 off coupon here.

Talley is "tu-tu" cute!

February 17, 2006 | Filed Under Uncategorized | 1 Comment

In High School I was fortunate enough to have a really wonderful group of friends who shared my faith and values and were a big part of my life. We have worked hard to keep in touch as we (they) spread out all over the country for college, and as they have settled and some have married. Only one of these folks, however, has progressed to having a baby. I could not have been happier when Miriam and Brooks became the first of our little group from Hume Fogg to have children when their daughter Talley was born last January.

Talley & Miriam came over to play today, and we had a great time with my new tutus. As I mentioned above, Talley just celebrated her first birthday, so she even got to wear her Happy Birthday hat. These are a few cute ones of the many that we got. More to come.

Thanks for coming over girls!

Bridal Gala on Sunday

February 16, 2006 | Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

I am so excited about Sunday’s Bridal Gala at Central Park in Murfreesboro. If you have not heard of Central Park, it is a new event venue with a feel similar to the Factory in Franklin. They have converted an old warehouse into a wedding/reception/party space with that same urban feel…Lisa Pancake is the Event Coordinator there and she is wonderful to work with.

Tonight the Pre-Gala festivities will begin with a special reception at 6:00pm, followed by the actual booth set-up on Saturday and the Gala on Sunday from 11-4. If you are planning your wedding for the Middle Tennessee area, I highly recommend that you attend this show. Visit the website using the link above for a $2 off coupon.

Now, I know it is supposed to snow a little bit on Sunday, but that has never stopped us before, right? So, go ahead and brave the blizzard (ha ha) and come and see us at the show.

Some important things to know:
1. I debut my new packages & pricing at this show every year. If you are currently looking at a wedding package/price on my website or in my promo materials that you like, you need to call me before Sunday. I only have one session on Friday so if you are ready to meet with me, I have some time. Don’t delay.
2. I will have a giveaway at my booth, so please come by to register for the drawing. I will announce the giveaway on the blog before the show- and it’s going to rock, so be sure to check back.

Leave a comment if you’re coming to the show so I can look for you there!

My beautiful Valentine

February 15, 2006 | Filed Under Uncategorized | 1 Comment

Well, so you all know that I was out of town for a week leading up to Valentine’s Day. I had a great time staying with Brad’s Aunt, but I was so ready to come home to my husband. We figured out that this was the longest time we had ever been away from each other.

We were so excited to see each other and to exchange gifts for Valentine’s Day. I was so surprised to receive this beautiful necklace, and a matching ring. It is pretty in the picture, but it doesn’t even do it justice to seeing it in person. Didn’t he do a great job?

First Snow of the Winter

February 15, 2006 | Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

SNOW!!! From my stay in Bolivar last week I was able to experience my first real snow of the winter. We got about 4-5 inches of snow on Friday night. It was a little treacherous while driving home from Memphis, but we made it and then nestled in to watch as the yard was covered quickly. This is a view of the front yard when we got home at about 4:00pm, and then again just before dark, about 6pm.
