Slideshow Question…

Please respond to this question by leaving a comment. To do that, click the “Comments” link at the end of this post and then answer my question and submit.
Are you able to view complete slideshows without any errors when I post the links on my blog?
I am only asking because my husband was telling me last night that they give him an error about half-way through and he isn’t able to watch them. I got another email about this as well. But I also get emails that say “how wonderful, I loved the slideshow, etc.” so I know others aren’t having issues.
So, please let me know how it goes for you. I only know how it looks on my own computer, and it’s always fine on my end.
Thank you! (Now comment with your response, please.)
Go Vols!

With all of the craziness going on in my life right now, I breezed past last week’s session with this cool group of cousins and forgot to post their picture. It’s going to be a Mother’s/Father’s Day gift for the grandparents of this bunch. These cuties were well-dressed and full of life during the session! It was fun.
Holli & Scott’s Wedding Slideshow

This is one of Holli’s Bridal Portraits from our session last week. As I said in my previous post, I really enjoyed spending Saturday with Scott & Holli for their Wedding Ceremony at Brentwood Baptist Church, and the reception following at Vanderbilt Legends Golf Club.
Click here to enjoy a slideshow of Holli & Scott’s big day on Saturday. If you’re on a slower internet connection, give it time to load. The show is about 3 minutes long and has music. Email it out to other friends you know who might be interested using the link at the bottom of the page!
Working with Friends…

On Saturday I was so happy to spend the day shooting Holli & Scott Ewing’s beautiful wedding at Brentwood Baptist Church, and the reception following at Vanderbilt Legends Golf Club. A slideshow of the day will be posted in the next several days.
One of the best parts of the day was having excellent help to provide the best coverage possible to Holli & Scott. Phil & Mindy Thornton of Thornton-Photo were my second shooters for the day, and we really had a fun time together. The unique part of our relationship is that I shot Phil & Mindy’s wedding last July, and now they are entering the profession. It’s such a fun job, maybe everybody should do it! If you are interested in photography and would like to learn for a hobby or maybe for a career, the best advice I received and that I can give is just DO IT. Get out there and practice by tagging along with someone. You can tag along with me, and I am sure Phil & Mindy would love the help too.
Anyway, there will be several more posts about the Ewing’s big day as I move along in editing.
After the storm…

Yesterday’s storms brought lots of damage to much of the greater Nashville area. I spent the afternoon at my Mom’s, helping her pack in preparation for her move next week. After waiting out most of the storms, I ventured home, just in time to see this on I-24E around LaVergne.
You’re probably not aware of the significance of end-to-end rainbows to our family, but they are very special. We used to travel a lot with my grandmother (Mom’s Mom) and on the last trip we took together, we saw an end-to-end rainbow for the first time. It was awesome. When my grandmother passed away unexpectedly, it was a big loss to our family. The next trip we took, we saw another rainbow, and it just warmed our hearts because we felt a special connection with her.
The decision that my Mom had to make to sell part of her family’s property was a very difficult one. We spent some time talking about this yesterday while we were packing. When I saw that rainbow on my way home, I couldn’t wait to call my Mom and tell her, and she was looking at it too from her house. I said - maybe that’s your sign that this was a good decision, and that your Mom knows and it’s okay.
And maybe it was just the way the water and the sun and the clouds all worked together at that moment, but it brings comfort to us to remember her and to know that we will see her again one day.

I had a lot of fun with my fellow photographers at our Nashville PUG meeting tonight. Read more about it at TNPUG Blog. I went to the meeting in Chattanooga on Tuesday night, and it was fun as well.
Sad night on American Idol

I’m so sad that Mandisa was voted off of American Idol tonight. She was a wonderful singer and was a shining light for Jesus on prime time television.
Welcome Baby Joshua!

Rosie called this morning to let me know they were checking in to the hospital to prepare to have the baby. She was so pleased that he had decided to come on his own instead of being induced on Tuesday.
After progressing quickly and being relieved to receive her epidural, things slowed down quite a bit and Rosie & Dave didn’t get down to business until about 7:30.
Rosie was so tired, but she toughed it out and Dave was right there with her the whole time, encouraging her and helping her along as much as possible. Joshua was born at 9:32PM. He has a head full of long black hair and was such a “rosy” pink color. The whole experience was just a miracle.
Click here for the slideshow. The show has music, and it’s kind of rock & roll (like Dave & Rosie) so you might watch the volume if you’re at work.
Webb School Prom

On Saturday night, Brad and I stepped back in time and went to the Prom! Actually, we photographed prom portraits for Webb School’s Prom on the Music City Queen riverboat. We had a fun time and met lots of great kids. And I can say kids because I am a good ten years older than almost all of them! I will be posting a slideshow soon.
