Oh, what fun we had today at Ryan & Lindsey’s sweet wedding in Shelbyville, TN. This family was great to work with, and my second-shooter Stephanie and I really had a wonderful time.
Lindsey was so nervous before the wedding, but afterwards you could tell it was like her spirit had been set free. Ryan truly made her light up with joy. They are honeymooning in Cabo San Lucas - I wish I could have gone too!!!

Scott & Janna’s Album Design

I am telling you, I have been a busy girl this week! I have stayed up the past 3 nights working, and I have been getting a lot accomplished in the area of album design.
This album is from Scott & Janna’s wedding on May 13 at Carahills, just outside of Memphis. I love how radiant Janna’s smile is. They had a lovely wedding and reception - it was so much fun that it went by so quickly. Janna described it as a blur…so I am glad to have a great story to present to them in album form.
On a side note, these albums were made possible through the Pictage Album Designer - so if you’re a photographer and you haven’t tried it out, you should. It rocks!

Here’s Scott & Holli’s Wedding Album that I just designed and ordered. It is a 12×12 Willowbook Sequoia Album, with a black leather cover, and it’s 16 pages (32 sides). What do you think of the storyline? Can you follow it?
The idea behind the storybook album is to tell the story of their day. The proof book that comes with all wedding packages contains all of the images for ordering, but this album hits the highlights. Scott & Holli are also getting a 5×5 copy of their large album. Perfect size for fitting in your purse and showing your friends!

Isn’t this a fun image from Josh & Mary Alice’s getaway following their wedding ceremony on June 3 at Donelson First Baptist Church? This one was shot by Hollis Guthrie, who was my second shooter for this wedding. I love being able to bring talented professional photographers with me to cover weddings. It gives my clients double coverage and gives me a peace of mind. It is especially awesome to shoot with Hollis because he has been my mentor and coach through the process of developing my business. He also shot my wedding four years ago!

I enjoyed a beautiful Saturday with Chris & Sally yesterday at the Assumption Cathedral in downtown Nashville. Their wedding ceremony was awesome - my first Catholic ceremony to photograph. I love this second photo where all of their guests and the priest are blessing the couple by raising their hands and praying together. What a statement of their faith!
We got to go to the Bicentennial Mall for wedding party photos and also a few of Chris & Sally by themselves. We all loved how you can see the State Capitol (I think this is the right spelling for this use…?) Building in the background.
Sally’s cousin Nellie Gould was a bridesmaid in the wedding, and is also a fabulous photographer in Peoria, IL. It was fun to meet her also. I know she also got some great shots and can’t wait to see those as well.
