Chattanooga Wedding with the Holritz’s

Here’s a few shots I got at the Sutherland’s wedding in Chattanooga last weekend. The last one is poor Amber shooting with her broken wrist. She did a great job despite the injury. See more images from the day on the Holritz’s Blog.

I got to hang out with the Cox Family last night and had a great time with them! Mom Christy is so beautiful. She has this joy that naturally radiates from her face. Little Joshua has just started Kindergarten and he was eager to tell me about it. We became buddies pretty quickly.
Thanks for allowing me to photograph your sweet family David & Christy. I had a lot of fun!
Wedding with the Holritz’s

This is what you look like after shooting an awesome wedding for 12+ hours in August in Chattanooga, Tennessee. My friend Amber fell and broke her wrist this week and she and Nathan needed some help for their wedding this weekend so I was honored to be invited to help. Nathan & Amber are some of the best photographers I know - I really learned a lot from observing how they work a wedding together. It is a special thing to be able to work so well with your spouse. What fun.
I shot RAW images (for you technical folks) this weekend and that’s not what I usually do, so the Holritz’s are processing them and sending me a copy and I don’t have anything to share just yet. So, enjoy this sweaty picture of me & the Holritz’s at about 12:30am on Sunday morning, before we went to the IHOP for “dinner.”
New website update - looks like it could be tomorrow…wahoo!
New Website Launching Soon…

I have been teasing you about this for a while but I think it is finally going to happen. I have been working really hard to get this finished by the middle of August, because the time on my old site is almost up. Can you believe that it will be two years on August 20 that I have had a business and web presence? It gives me a feeling of great accomplishment. Scripture tells us, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Phillipians 1:6) I give God the glory for the good work that has happened through this very small photography business in the past two years, in my life and in the lives of others. Apart from Him I am nothing.
This brings me to the photo of Ryan Horne that you see here, which I did not take. But Ryan is a local up and coming artist who is using his talent to glorify God as well. He has been generous enough to share his wonderful talents with Bynum Photography website viewers. Each of my new sites will have one of Ryan’s songs playing in the background as you view the images. If you like what you hear, I encourage you to buy his music from his website or even off of iTunes. It’s great music. Thanks Ryan!
Stay tuned for info about the new sites.
Congratulations Khris & Carmen

Wow. Khris and Carmen were married yesterday in a stylish Jewish Wedding Ceremony at Two Rivers Mansion in Nashville, Tennessee. Steph and I had a lot of fun with the wedding party and enjoyed photographing all of the cool details that were planned for this event.
Carmen’s gown was a Watters design, and her gorgeous bouquet was by Bella Rose Floral Design in Murfreesboro.
Have you ever seen such awesome bridesmaids dresses? I loved their color palette of this bright green and deep purples.
We stole away for some cool images towards the end of the reception. I love how natural and raw Khris & Carmen’s emotions were at this point of the day.
Another special part of the wedding was the dress that Carmen left the wedding in. It was her mother’s wedding dress, that her mother re-constructed (cut it off, re-did the sleeves, etc.). It was so adorable!
Thanks for letting us be a part of your big day!
PS. Check out some of Stephanie’s favorite shots on her blog.
Beautiful Wedding at Woodmont Christian Church

I had a lot of fun yesterday as a second shooter for Andrea at Ashley & Grant’s beautiful wedding at Woodmont Christian Church. I didn’t know the couple very well, but they were adorable and had a lot of fun together at their wedding.
The first photo is one of the flower girls watching Ashley put on her dress. The second photo is Grant, the groom, watching Ashley as Andrea was taking her picture. Then there’s a cool shot of the cake. Ashley’s sorority sisters (Delta Delta Delta) serenaded her with a special song. And the last photo is from the 5 minutes that we braved the heat for some outdoor photos. I think it was worth it!
I am shooting a Jewish wedding today at Two Rivers Mansion in Nashville, and I am very excited about it! Check back tomorrow for a sneak preview!
Thanks So Much, DJ

We had the greatest time at the TN PUG Thursday night, and we are so happy that David Jay was able to be with us. Here’s just a couple pics of our night (from my point & shoot) from our time together.
Edit: I added a “self-portrait” by Nathan of me, Amber, DJ and Nathan. Thanks for taking that one. I love seeing DJ in a TNPUG t-shirt! Can’t wait until we all go to LA in September and can see each other again!
