LA Countdown - 6 Hours Until Departure!

These are a few photos from the Sheraton Gateway Hotel Los Angeles Airport where we will be staying for the next few days. It has the coolest red, black, grey & white decor throughout the hotel, as you can see from the pics. That was one of the most interesting things about our stay last year. We loved it!
Steph will be here in 6 hours and then we will go and pick up my Mom and head out to the airport. And YES, we know that you can’t take liquids on the plane. You would think people thought we lived in a cave. EVERYONE has mentioned new airline restrictions when I talk about the trip. ANYWAY, enough of that rant.
I worked hard this weekend but I was not able to finish up the Mabry Wedding for release as I had hoped. I will continue working on it - maybe on the plane and in our downtime. My Mom likes to watch TV at bedtime and I usually get on my computer for a while so I will have a little time.
So, If you see us getting off the plane in LA, don’t judge us on our looks because we can’t take lip gloss or chapstick in our purses so our lips might be unsightly. :o)

I couldn’t even think about going to bed tonight without posting a quick slideshow for our dear friends Joey, Christy & Landon from their photo session tonight. We had great weather and great subjects - and you’ll see the results are great images.
These are a couple early favorites, and the slideshow has even more. Click HERE for the show. Let me know which picture is your favorite!

Brian & Kelly’s Engagement Photos in Nashville

I watched the sun come up at Turner Farms this morning and met up with Bryan & Kelly for a 6:30AM Engagement Session. I love Kelly’s sweater and how it brings out the color of her eyes. The session was relaxed and fun - we laughed a lot and made some noise so that we would not happen upon any no-legged friends in the tall grass.
People often look at me like I am crazy when I suggest this time for a photo session, but there are many benefits to scheduling a sunrise Engagement Session. The months leading up to your wedding are insanely busy. You have stuff to do every night after you get home from work or school it seems. Your weekends are consumed by wedding showers, or tux/dress fittings, meeting with vendors, spending time with family, packing in preparation to move, and the list goes on and on. You get up each morning and get ready for your day - why not just get up an hour earlier and meet up with me for your photos? Then you won’t have to come home after work, shower and get ready a second time and take up an evening for a session. The light is also very nice early in the morning. If it is a cloudy day then the light is soft and easy, kind of like it was today for Kelly & Bryan. If it’s going to be clear and the sun is coming up at full-strength, we’ll have a warm glow and some flare to work with.
So anyway, it was good to catch up with you today Bryan & Kelly. Hope you have a great weekend and I will see you soon!
**EDIT**I realized I talked about Kelly’s pretty eyes, and then none of the pictures gave you a good look at them. So, I added a photo of Kelly by herself, so you can see. Aren’t they beautiful!
