Here’s a note I received just a couple days after Chris & Jonie’s Wedding:

“Alison,
Hello from Northern California! We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the pictures you posted on your blog. We had a wonderful afternoon and evening and are so excited that you captured it in pictures. We loved the slideshow you showed us and cannot wait to see the rest of the pictures. Thank you for your sweet spirit and your willingness to make our night so memorable. Your attitude and your attention to detail shows so much in your work and we will always be grateful that we found you. We hope that you can always be there to share in our journey together. This note made my day - I mean, I can’t believe you emailed me on your honeymoon guys. Thanks for sending the pics from CA too. They were so sweet.

Congratulations Sean & Dana - Franklin Wedding

Another gorgeous Fall day in Middle TN today. I shot Sean & Dana’s wedding at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in historic downtown Franklin with help from a few friends. You’ll see why I needed Kyle, Andrea and Stephanie to hang with me today a little later in this post.

Sean and Dana celebrated with friends and family, delicious food and great flowers. We even snuck away to Starbucks - their favorite - for a toast at the end of the evening.

So, if you’ll notice the last two shots, my arm is in a soft cast because I broke my wrist last night. I was finishing some things between Katie & Jared’s ceremony and reception when I tripped and fell. I knew I was hurt, but we had to keep shooting - a wedding reception doesn”t have a second chance. We went to the ER after the reception, and sure enough, I came home in this crazy temporary cast thing. I am so thankful that I have become part of a network of photographers and friends who are willing to step in when things get tough. It was hard to give up some control today - Andrea shot the formals, and Kyle & Steph used longer lenses, and I used natural light and short lenses (lighter to hold) and we made it through.

Steph got the shot of Sean by the door, Andrea got the one of the flower girl looking up, and Kyle got the black and white of the happy couple kissing. I think it was a great day!!!

What a beautiful day we had yesterday in Smyrna for Jared & Katie’s wedding at FBC Smyrna. I love you guys and thanks for letting me be a part of this important time in your lives. Slideshow and pics from my lovely second shooter Stephanie coming soon.

I am doing a double-header this weekend, as I am shooting Dana and Sean’s wedding today in Franklin. It’s another crisp and sunny fall day in Middle TN, so check back tomorrow for more gorgeous images!

I mentioned previously that I was so excited to have the fabulous Matt Dunmore from Chattanooga as my second shooter this past Saturday at Brad & Melissa’s beautiful wedding in Smyrna. I just received Matt’s images in the mail last night and as I mentioned, I am blown away by his detailed coverage of the day.

Some info about the shots: The stack of programs; Brad as he was walking through the grounds at the Sam Davis Home; Melissa after the ceremony - this is an AWESOME shot; Matt and I were both in love with this precious flower girl. This shot of her making faces during the ceremony is an example of why…; We thought the horse and carriage would be a little slower, so we were trying to position ourselves to take a photo of it in transit. It snuck up on us, and Matt grabbed this shot as we passed it on the left; Melissa and her dad getting down towards the end of the reception; Me and Matt at the end of the night. I love the mascara smudges under my eyes…We worked hard all day, can’t you tell?

Beautiful Wedding In Smyrna - Brad & Melissa

Congratulations to Brad & Melissa, who were married Saturday at Smyrna First United Methodist Church. The weather could not have been any better, and allowed us to get some beautiful images over at the Sam Davis Home, which was also the location for the reception.

Tom’s Florist is responsible for these awesome flowers, and the fun cakes and catering were by Jo’s Custom Cakes & Catering, both based in Smyrna.

A huge thank you (and separate future post) to my second shooter for the day, the wonderfully creative and refreshingly charming Matt Dunmore. Matt and his wife drove in from Chattanooga for the weekend so that he could be on hand for the wedding. He has an awesome PhotoBlog and posts a new image every day. Some of his fine art/landscape work is also on display in a Chattanooga gallery, and if you see an image that you might like to purchase for your office or home decor, contact him asap. He is fabulous and I truly enjoyed working with him.

When Matt sends his images along I will post up some to blow you away!

Warneld Family Photos in Smyrna

This has been the week for babies for me! I can’t remember another week that I have photographed a baby per day for five days in a row!

Meet little Aiden (or Aidan - not totally sure on how to spell it), who was born on Monday Oct 2. I stopped by for a visit on Saturday morning to create some updated family portraits.

Not only did I get to take pictures of his parents and big brother Tyler, but his grandparents and aunts also!

Baby Jada - 3 Month Portraits with Mimi

I hung out with beautiful 3 month old baby Jada and her Mimi today and just look at the beautiful images we made together. Jada and Mimi did all the work really, I just stayed back and snapped away.

Sssshhhh. These pics are going to be a surprise for Jada’s Mommy for Christmas, so if you see the pictures and enjoy them, remember NOT to say anything to Joy.

Newborn Portraits of Baby Alexis

What a cutie. Little Alexis is only 2 weeks old, but she worked it like a pro today for her newborn portrait session at her home in Smyrna. Thanks to Mom, Dad and Grandma for all of your help and for welcoming me into your lives at such a special time. This is a beautiful baby.

Baby’s First Year - Hadley’s 6 Months Portraits

How adorable is Hadley Jane? I loved her pretty dress and her embroidered “play panties” as my friend Amy calls them. I met Hadley and her parents today for the first of 4 sessions that we’re going to do over the next year to document how fast she grows into a big girl. Hard to imagine a year from now when she’ll be walking and talking and wearing us all out.
