As I assembled this card and reflected on the weddings I photographed in 2006, I was filled with joy. I was a part of 22 unique and special ceremonies for 22 equally unique and special couples. You inspired me with your love for each other and I am proud to have been a small part of your big days.
Happy 2007, and enjoy kissing your HUSBAND or WIFE at midnight for the first time tonight!

Brad & Melissa’s Wedding on October 7 was another beautiful day. Click on the photo of the first dance above, or click HERE to watch.
Matt and I loved the flower girl and ring bearer at this event. They were both so adorable and very well behaved. They have their own category of pictures in the gallery - we couldn’t help ourselves.
Hope you guys had a great Christmas together!

Click on beautiful Dana’s photo or click HERE to view a slideshow of the Hansen’s wedding on October 14 in Franklin. If you’ll recall, this is the wedding I did the day after I fell and broke my wrist, which is the reason I was working with a crew of four photographers. Many thanks to my dear friends Andrea and Steph and my brother Kyle for your help! Enjoy the slideshow.
Bryan & Kelly’s Slideshow

Merry Christmas! I had a little time this morning before we head to my Dad’s house to see what Santa brought for us, and so I put together this slideshow of Bryan & Kelly’s gorgeous wedding in Nashville at the end of October. Check out those leaves!
Click the picture or click HERE to watch it. Turn up the volume - there’s music.
Another word about Fall Weddings…many brides I talk with think that October is a great time for weddings because of the Fall colors. I want to give a heads up to any girls who are serious about wanting the brightly colored leaves for photos outdoors that the leaves peak around Halloween. This wedding was on Oct 28 and it was perfect. This is why I plan Fall Family Photo weekends for the first weekend in Nov. So, if you want a photo in the leaves in your wedding dress, think the end of the month, not the beginning!
Holidays

We’ve had a lot going on this week, and not all of it was what we had hoped for. Pop on over HERE to read about our day on Monday.
We are doing better though. We are optimistic about the future!
I will be out for the holidays starting Friday 12/22 and return Tuesday 12/26. Of course I am addicted to my computer, so I will actually probably still be working on images (Bryan & Kelly AND Rylie Grace) in the three hour car ride to & from West TN.
I hope you all have a blessed holiday. My official holiday greeting will be coming soon.

Here’s Hadley Jane, such a pretty girl all dressed up for Christmas! I had a lot of fun seeing her house all decked out - mom Jodi and dad Josh have done such a nice job decorating their new home for the season.
Hadley has new teeth since I saw her for her 6 Month session.
Thanks so much for having me over! Hope you enjoy your first Christmas with your precious daughter and I look forward to seeing you around her 1st birthday.

Love you guys!
Working to get caught up…

If you are a faithful blog reader, you’ll note that my schedule has slowed way down from what it was over the Fall. This is typical for this time of year, but there are also some exciting things going on in my life that I am going to need a little time off in the next few months.
All of the changes in my personal life (read Our Adoption Story blog for more info) combined with my recently healed broken wrist have slowed me down considerably in processing my images for my Fall sessions.
I am down to my October weddings (3.5 to go) and a few portrait sessions left to edit, and I am working as hard as I can to get those processed before the baby arrives. Thank you for your patience and your love and support.
I am planning on being on “Maternity Leave” from shooting in January and February, and I will begin photographing again in March. Please feel free to contact me now and schedule your sessions for the Spring. They will book up very quickly. I am accepting appointments for Wedding Consultations during Jan & Feb though so don’t hesitate to contact me. I just may need an extra day to get back to you by phone.
Wedding calls are rolling in and you can tell that booking season is here. Don’t hesitate!
