For His Eyes Only

January 17, 2007 | Filed Under Uncategorized | 3 Comments

I shot my first For His Eyes Only session yesterday morning.

Here is the note I received back from her: “I absolutely cannot wait to see them! I am so excited and I really did have fun this morning. You made me as comfortable as possible. I would love to help you encourage others because it was so much fun and I really think that my husband’s going to like it. Thanks for everything you did this morning and making it such a fun experience!!”

Sorry I can’t share images…they are For HIS eyes only!

Contact me today if you want to book your own session. There’s only a few appointment times left with guaranteed delivery by Valentine’s Day.

Congratulations Steph!

January 16, 2007 | Filed Under Uncategorized | 2 Comments

I spent the day with this beautiful girl, my dear friend Stephanie Edens. Steph is opening up a new photography studio in downtown McMinnville, and she has the most wonderful vision for the space. I cannot wait to see it come together!

Steph is one of the most humble creatures I have ever met, so she would not brag about this herself, so I want to do it for her. She was honored on Saturday night by the McMinnville Jaycees at their annual Distinguished Service Awards Banquet. Stephanie received the 2006 Young Businessperson of the Year for McMinnville! I am SO SO SO proud of her and wish I could have been there to take her picture. She had to even give a little speech and I know that she was probably really embarrassed, but even so, I bet she did a great job.

Steph - you rock and I am inspired by you!

Happy Bride Guarantee

One of the best features of Pictage from the Bride’s perspective is the Happy Bride Guarantee. In a nutshell, this means that if you are entirely unsatisfied with your wedding coverage when you view it online, you can receive a 100% refund. I think this in itself is a reason to book a photographer who uses Pictage, because you get a promise that you’ll be happy. Check it out.

Another feature is the Pictage Directory and Bridal Recommendations. After each wedding, Pictage sends the Bride a feedback form and she can leave comments about the photographer’s work AND whether or not she recommends them to future brides. These comments are then published to our directory listing, so brides can see what other brides are saying. If you go to Pictage and go through the “Find a Photographer” searches, in Tennessee you’ll see that there are only a handfull of photographers that are not 100% recommended. This tells me that photographers who use Pictage are working hard to make their clients happy, and I love that.

Just this morning I received a new Bridal Recommendation from Carmen Mabry, whose beautiful picture you’re looking at here. Here’s what she had to say - “Alison is incredible! She really is a talented photographer. She makes you feel comfortable & really listens to what you want while giving great suggestions you trust! I wouldn’t think twice to hire her for any event.”

I really appreciate Carmen’s comments. Her wedding was gorgeous - awesome colors and unique touches everywhere. Carmen is also a makeup artist and she does a fabulous job for weddings - so if you’re in the market for wedding makeup, let me know and I can hook you up with her!

Have a great day!

MacWorld2007 Keynote address **EDIT**

January 9, 2007 | Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

I am SO excited (and I am sure this makes me one of the biggest nerds ever, but you probably already knew that) for Steve Jobs’ Keynote Address at the MacWorld 2007 Expo. He is expected to unveil some awesome new products. I will be tuning in to one of my favorite blogs, the Unofficial Apple Weblog for their live blogging of the address. Go ahead and laugh. It’s okay! Or click over there for yourself and refresh it every 10 minutes or so to see what the “next big thing” is. Think about how the iPod has revolutionized our society. Around 16 millions iPods were purchased this holiday season alone. Any guesses on what’s coming out today? We won’t have to wait much longer to find out!

Well, it’s the iPhone and Apple TV. Wow. Amazing.

Jonah’s First Year and Eli’s 2nd & 3rd…

I have mentioned this before, but it was a privilege to work with the Wilson’s to photograph my first ever birth last October. Here’s a little visual of how Jonah has grown over the past year. And as I have watched little Jonah from pregnancy to age 1, Eli has sat still a few times just long enough for a 2 year (during Jonah’s pregnancy) and 3 year (during Jonah’s 1 Year) portrait. Thank you so much for encouraging me along and for allowing me to be a part of your family history guys!
