Carl & Liz - Engagement Session in Indianapolis

I met up with Carl & Liz in downtown Indianapolis yesterday for their engagement session. They were troopers - it was 30 degrees and a little slushy - but we were able to get in a session despite the weather.
I am so excited to be joining these two for their destination wedding in BELIZE in mid-April. After spending a little time together yesterday, I just know it is going to be a fun trip! Here’s a few early favorites.

Landon is Turning Four

Christy needed some photos of Landon for his 4th birthday party invitation, so we ventured out to find a John Deere tractor suitable for climbing! Brad just happened to have the tractor hanging around at his company, so we loaded up Landon’s bulldozer and off we went. These are a few of my favorite shots. Christy designed the invitation herself and it looks AWESOME - I got mine yesterday. I can’t believe this kid is turning 4…seems like yesterday we were hanging out in the hall at the hospital.

Scootman Music, Royalty-Free Music for Slideshows, Websites, Etc.

Many of you have heard me talk (or blog) about my dear friend and wonderful photographer Andrea Hallgren. Andrea’s husband Scott is a talented musician, and upon hearing from Andrea and other photographers discuss how difficult it is to find quality music for our slideshows and our websites that we actually have the rights to use, he decided to do something about it. Scott has just released a new site (Scootman Music) that has music available for download.
I have done a couple of slideshows with a few of his tracks already and I love them! Here’s a link to an album design slideshow that I put together using one of Scott’s tracks, and images from one of Andrea’s weddings that I shot with her this summer at Cheekwood.
Please take a minute and listen, and feel free to give your feedback to Scott if you find a need for a new style of track or if you like it, etc. Thanks!!!
Sarah’s Bat Mitzvah in Nashville

I had a great Saturday night at Sarah’s Bat Mitzvah at City Hall in downtown Nashville. My friends Whitney & Peter of Dove asked me to come along for some backup. It was a beautiful celebration - the whole place decked out in pink & brown. It was also great to see another friend Chris Jackson, who was helping a friend of his DJ the event. Sarah made her grand entrance in a BMW convertible, a la My Super Sweet 16. It was quite a show. Thanks Whitney & Peter for having me along. Here’s a few of the shots I got during the party!

Nickie emailed me last week to tell me about a sad situation she is in with her videographer. It seems she hasn’t heard from him since her July Wedding to Jeremy, and they decided to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. When they contacted the BBB, they discovered the videographer has had 24 complaints in the last 3 years.
Some BP images were used in tonight’s newscast, which can be seen HERE and scroll until you see “Wedding Video Scam”…but sadly I can’t get it to work on my Mac. So you’ll have to leave comments and let me know how they look.
Hopefully Nickie & Jeremy will get the results they paid for for by bringing this issue to the public eye. The videographer seemed very professional the night of the wedding…it felt like he worked hard like we did. Maybe the video will be presented soon and all will be resolved…but please use the information in the newscast to draw your own conclusions.
