Celebrating Adoption Photo Session: 3 Months

February 29, 2008 | Filed Under babies, celebrating adoption | 2 Comments

My favorite time of the month is when I get to do a Celebrating Adoption Photo Shoot to help another family welcome an adopted child into their family.

I hung out with another family that I met through the Bethany community. Dad had to work, but I got the chance to photograph Mom and Little Man doing what they do every day at home. It was great.

Here’s Little Man playing in his bouncy seat while Mom made his bottle.

Mom is so proud of her baby. Can’t you tell by this smile she is smitten?

I loved how when she burped him, he hugged her arm. So sweet. Makes me miss my “little baby” days with Norah.

Little Man definitely loves his Mom right back. Look at them cracking up at each other.

He wears some very stylish and eco-friendly cloth diapers. We liked how his little tummy sticks over them.

Baby toes - as good as it gets. They don’t stay this small for long.

Who knew putting your socks on could be this fun?

Time to settle down for a nap. All of this playing wears a guy out.

Thanks for letting me take a peek into your life for a little while. I hope you enjoy the photos. Congratulations on your sweet baby boy. To view this complete gallery when it is released, please click here to register.

Michael & Cortney, Engagement Photos in Franklin

Are these two not the cutest couple?

We had fun out at the Factory for their Engagement Photos.

It was a little chilly when we ventured outside. But they stayed in good spirits about it.

This is one of my favorites. Love everything about it.

Cortney says that Michael runs up behind her and does this often.

They took some dance lessons a while back. They were enjoying a dance under this nice chandelier.

A chat at the Soda Shoppe.

Thanks so much guys. Michael & Cortney are going to be married in Murfreesboro this June. To see all of their photos when they are released, please click here to register.

Brittany’s Sweet Sixteen Party

This weekend I had so much fun at Brittany’s Sweet Sixteen Party. We planned a Fashion Photo Shoot and the girls brought suitcases of outfits, makeup, accessories and we shot for around 3 hours with lights, fans, and lots of great music!

Britt’s awesome cake was from Publix, and I must say it was DELICIOUS.

Here’s my favorite images of Brittany’s…

Brittany, you are a beautiful girl, inside and out. I feel blessed to have watched you grow up and can’t wait to see what wonderful things you do in your life. Love you!

Corwin’s 9 Month Portraits

Mr. Corwin - the first of my three 9 month old’s coming up in the next week. He’s the oldest, and definitely the most handsome. He has really grown since his last session at 6 months. Sigh…time has begun to just fly by.

Love this happy smile in his Mommy Loves Me shirt.

A fancy shot for the grandparents.

9 month t-shirt

Looks like an ad for the Children’s Place.

Corwin loves his bla bla too.

Doesn’t get much better than this.

You guys are so great. Thanks for being faithful to check in on the blog and for emailing to let me know the images were missing!

I use PhotoBucket for my image hosting on my blog and because so many people are hitting the blog each day my bandwidth was exceeded. I just completed an upgrade to my account and we should be back up and running now.

If you still can’t see the pictures, hit “refresh” on your internet browser and they should all return. Enjoy!

Katie & Travis, Engagement Pictures at Turner Farms

February 14, 2008 | Filed Under engagement | 2 Comments

I love shooting images of people who are special to me. Katie and I went to high school together and I have fond memories of time we spent taking colorful notes in AP Government/Economics. I got a chance to meet Travis at our 10 year class reunion this past summer, and little did I know I would be photographing their wedding less than a year later!

Katie & Travis met me out at Turner Farms (where by the way, we have 10 newborn AKC lab puppies that will be up for adoption in 6-8 weeks!) on Saturday. We had a blast just wandering around and we laughed non-stop!

See what I mean? I love it when I get to hang out with people who have the same sense of humor as I do! This totally captures their fun personalities!

Love this one.

Roll in the hay

Love this one too

Katie & Travis will be my next wedding to shoot so stay tuned for the images in early April. To view all of their engagement pictures when they are available, please click here to register.

Brian & Saundra at the Factory in Franklin

February 11, 2008 | Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

When Saundra emailed to say that her husband Brian was coming home on R&R from his deployment to Iraq, I was instantly excited about spending time with them. I have such respect for our service men and women and their spouses and family who sacrifice so much on behalf of the safety of our country. After having spent a lot of time apart in their 2 years of marriage, Brian and Saundra were as happy as newlyweds to get to hang out together. I loved it.

A few favorites from our shoot at the Factory.

Thanks guys! To view the complete gallery of Brian & Saundra’s images when they are released, click here to register.

Miller Family Pictures in Manchester

February 10, 2008 | Filed Under family | 1 Comment

Every day I hear from more and more adoptive parents and I just love that I am able to work with families who have experienced God working in their lives in this way. The Miller’s have two precious children - Matthew from the Philippines, and Marli, who has just been home 3 months from Vietnam.

This sweet family has all kinds of fun together. They like to read - Matthew is a great reader. Love the expression on Marli’s face as she listens to him read.

They like to build - I think Dad and Matthew were building a monster truck here.

Marli likes to play with her Bitty Baby doll.

They like to hang out together and play in the living room.

We took advantage of the gorgeous day and went outside. Dad got a hug from Marli after he helped her put on her coat.

Matthew didn’t need as much help. Isn’t he handsome?

They played on the swingset and slid down the slide for a while.

International adoption can be challenging when you think of all the children have been through in their lives previous to coming to their new family. I was so glad to hear about it from all angles as it is something we have/are praying about for our own family. Matthew and Marli love each other, but they have each had their own adjustment issues with each other. In a quiet and beautiful moment, Matthew sat down on this rock and Marli wandered over and joined him. Then after Mom told me the dog steers clear of the kids, as all kids and animals do, the dog just wandered over and got some lovin’ from the kids. It was a priceless moment.

Matthew took a chance to play on his granddaddy’s tractor for a minute.

And everyone went on a little walk hand in hand.

Thank you so much for letting me have fun with you guys this week. I enjoyed every minute. To view all of the Miller’s photos when they are released, Click HERE to register.
