Chapman Family Photos in Murfreesboro

I’ve decided to share a few more photos than usual in this blog post. Comes with the territory when you’re sharing from a family photo with eight people in it I guess!
Isn’t this a great choice of clothing for a family portrait? It was no easy task for Yolanda I know, but she did a fabulous job helping everyone coordinate but not match exactly. I am so proud.

And, because I imagine in a big family it could be easy to feel lost in the shuffle at times, I am including an individual shot of everyone. You all look great!

Ha! You can imagine how easy it might have been to get a non-silly photo of Jim…but I managed.
Thank you guys! I had a blast.
Celebrating Adoption - Two Year Old

When you’re two, you don’t care if it is hot outside. You just want to go to the playground.

This sweet little guy was joined by his Mom and Grandparents. You’d never know that Grandpa is over 80 years old by the way he ran around and climbed up and down with his grandson.

We went walking on the boardwalk for a few quiet moments with Mommy.

Thanks for letting me celebrate your adoption with you! We love you guys!
Celebrating Adoption - Klimek Family

This sweet family drove in from East Tennessee for a Celebrating Adoption photo session. Mom & Dad were tickled for me to meet little Mr. Lee - a 14 month old sweetheart from Guatemala.

Don’t you know Dad enjoyed his first Fathers Day this year?

Kisses for Mom
Congratulations guys! Thank you for letting me photograph you with your SON!

Addie & Jadyn love their tropical garden goldfish shirts from Gymboree. This was the perfect idea to capture them together!
June 14, 2008 | Filed Under celebrating adoption, kids | Leave a Comment I first photographed Addie Mei in March of last year. June 14, 2008 | Filed Under celebrating adoption, kids | Leave a Comment It’s amazing to me to see all of these sweet babies growing up right before my eyes. Here’s Jadyn last September, when she had just been home with Pat and Amy for 3 months. And here she is now, after just turning two in April! Amy made this beautiful dress - and I LOVE it. Amy’s talents in sewing are soon to be available to the public, so hop on over to her blog to be on the list to own one of her beautiful creations! May 9, 2008 | Filed Under celebrating adoption, family, kids | Leave a Comment I spent some time with the Best Family to celebrate the adoption of their daughter Gwenelise from China. She will have been a part of this family for a year this weekend. We spent some time laughing and playing today at her grandparents’ home in Belle Meade to create this sweet collection of images.

May 8, 2008 | Filed Under babies, celebrating adoption, kids | Leave a Comment I first met Drew and his family during my Fall Mini-Sessions this October. He had only been home a few months, and he was a little under the weather, but he still managed to turn on the charm for us and we got some great images.
Shelly contacted me for a Celebrating Adoption session and I couldn’t wait to see how much he had grown! Thanks so much for having me over. We had a blast. We read books. We played in Drew’s room. We played with Bear. We made a little mischief. We laughed. We played outside. We used irises for swords. It was grand.
Drew, I can’t wait to see you again soon buddy.

PS. Drew’s Mom just sent me this picture. I would rather cuddle with Drew in my lap than take his picture any day! Hope we can get our kids together to play really soon. May 7, 2008 | Filed Under babies, celebrating adoption, destination wedding, engagement, family, kids, mini session, personal, senior pictures | 1 Comment This is my favorite picture of me and my daughter. It was taken by our dear friend Andrea when Norah was about 8 weeks old. Coming up on my first Mother’s Day I am feeling a lot of things. I feel so blessed to be a Mom. I feel care and concern for Norah’s first mom. I feel respect for my own Mother, Mother-in-law and Step-Mom. I feel happiness for my friends who are also celebrating. I feel hope for those still longing to become a Mom. I feel nostalgic in remembering my grandmothers.
Back to that image of me & Norah…Something else I love about it is that I own it. Andrea still retains the copyright, but also gave me permission to use it as I desire. I have the digital file, backed up in a couple of places in my home, and out there on the web, and I KNOW that I will have it as long as possible. I could make a large print, a canvas, a photo purse, jewelry, a scrapbook - anything - to preserve and display this moment forever. As a Mom, when I have photos made of my daughter or my family, my number one priority is the digital files.
SO, my Mother’s Day special is this: to offer you the chance to purchase a DVD of high-resolution digital files from your portrait session for $100. Any portrait session that I have ever taken, from 2004 when I officially launched this business to the present. If I have shot your session but haven’t released it yet, you can still go ahead and purchase your files. OR, if you would like to purchase your wedding negatives, you may do so for $500.
The details: You must contact me to complete the purchase by the end of the day on Friday May 9. DVD’s and reprint releases will be mailed out on Tuesday May 13.
Email me to let me know you’re in! Hope that helps make your day extra-special!
