Graham, Senior Pictures in Murfreesboro
October 23, 2008 | Filed Under senior pictures | 1 Comment
Graham is graduating from MTSU really soon, and because his Mom really wanted him to, he met up with me for a round of college senior pictures.
I tried to select images that show off various aspects of Graham’s personality. I also wanted to show off these awesome blue eyes.

I can only imagine that Ms Trudy looks at his eyelashes and this sweet calm expression and wonders where the time has gone. Her baby boy is all grown up!
This one is my favorite.
Thank you so much Graham for doing this for your mother. She will treasure the photos always, I am certain!

I love shooting high school seniors. They are too big to talk back to me, don’t have to be bribed with candy, and they always have fun in front of the camera.

Jessi was telling me that she has so many things she wants to do in her life that it is hard to know what to go to college for. I say dream big and do it all Jessi. You can do it all.

Mother’s Day Specials…

This is my favorite picture of me and my daughter. It was taken by our dear friend Andrea when Norah was about 8 weeks old.
Coming up on my first Mother’s Day I am feeling a lot of things. I feel so blessed to be a Mom. I feel care and concern for Norah’s first mom. I feel respect for my own Mother, Mother-in-law and Step-Mom. I feel happiness for my friends who are also celebrating. I feel hope for those still longing to become a Mom. I feel nostalgic in remembering my grandmothers.
Back to that image of me & Norah…Something else I love about it is that I own it. Andrea still retains the copyright, but also gave me permission to use it as I desire. I have the digital file, backed up in a couple of places in my home, and out there on the web, and I KNOW that I will have it as long as possible. I could make a large print, a canvas, a photo purse, jewelry, a scrapbook - anything - to preserve and display this moment forever. As a Mom, when I have photos made of my daughter or my family, my number one priority is the digital files.
SO, my Mother’s Day special is this: to offer you the chance to purchase a DVD of high-resolution digital files from your portrait session for $100. Any portrait session that I have ever taken, from 2004 when I officially launched this business to the present. If I have shot your session but haven’t released it yet, you can still go ahead and purchase your files. OR, if you would like to purchase your wedding negatives, you may do so for $500.
The details: You must contact me to complete the purchase by the end of the day on Friday May 9. DVD’s and reprint releases will be mailed out on Tuesday May 13.
Email me to let me know you’re in! Hope that helps make your day extra-special!
Exclusive Senior Pictures

Are you a member of the Class of 2008? Are you looking for Senior Pictures that are NOT mass-produced? Do you want to stand out from the crowd, and BE yourself? Then we’ve got something for you.
What: BE Yourself Senior Picture Sessions
When: Monday July 23 (only 1 spot left), Monday July 20 (7 spots available) and Monday August 6 (7 spots available)
The Scoop: The session fee is only $250 and the talented Stephanie Edens and I will be photographing each senior together - think fashion magazine photo shoot style. Each senior will have two appointments for the day they are signed up - One appointment will have an urban vibe to it, on a rooftop, in a warehouse, etc. The second appointment will be at an Auto Salvage yard with old cars and school buses and some creative lighting elements…straight out of the Anthropologie catalog.
While the session locations are set, we want each client to bring things that show their individuality. If you play sports, bring your practice clothes (not clean, pressed ones…we want ones that look like you really used them). Bring your favorite sunglasses, cool shoes, coats, etc. Bring what makes you YOU. We will be posing you according to your personality, body type, etc. and we will be moving around a lot so be prepared. We’ll have music blasting to help keep us all energized. Also, these locations and sets are exclusive to our BE Yourself Senior Sessions only…they will not be offered outside of these appointment dates.
It is possible that we will add one more day after school begins, but for the most part, this is my only plan for photo sessions for the Class of ‘08. Stephanie and I are so excited about working with a select group of clients to accomplish something new - we want our seniors to BE themselves.
Sessions are being advertised to Steph’s clients also, so if you want to secure your spot for the shoot (you must be available all day on the day of your appointment) you need to call me today at 615-812-5836 or email me.
Senior Pictures - Canaan

I met up with Canaan Chapman yesterday to shoot a few senior pictures so Mom will have something cool to stick in the graduation invitations. There’s not much I can say about this guy that hasn’t already been said - he’s wonderful…smart, funny, cool…he loves Jesus, loves his family, his friends…he’s athletic, loves Taco Bell…and he actually asked me if I minded photographing nudes? HA! If you know Canaan, you are not surprised, I am sure.
Canaan’s Mom and three of four sisters were hanging around during the session. I grabbed this shot of Yolanda and Lydia, both sporting new hair-do’s and looking great!
OK. Then we ventured over to this awesome orange wall that I have had my eye on for a while. If you are a native Smyrnite, you might have a guess about where this is. It’s not the most glamorous location. But I needed the right person to photograph around it - and Canaan was a perfect fit.
I think this is the picture that should go in the graduation invitations. Seriously.
Thanks for a fun afternoon Chapman’s.
