Khris & Carmen’s Wedding Slideshow
September 22, 2006 | Filed Under Uncategorized | 3 Comments
Steph and I shot so many images at Khris & Carmen’s awesome wedding on August 6 at Two Rivers Mansion that it has taken me a little longer than I wished to get this slideshow up to show everyone.
This was an awesome Jewish ceremony that was so touching that it brought a tear to my eye. I loved the salt ceremony too.

…or something like that. Tonight I met up with some other fabulous girls who are photographers in the Middle Tennessee area and we had a great time talking over dinner.
Again, a quick snap in the parking lot after standing around and chatting for 30 minutes…L to R Betsy Butler, Andrea Hallgren, Melanie McLellan, and me. Also in attendance were Angela Disrud and Angie Sliger.
Thanks for including me and I LOVED hanging out with y’all. Can’t wait for our next gathering.
Bradley’s 6 Month Session

Oh man, this session today with Bradley could not have gone any better. He was in such a good mood and I could have posted every single shot up here as my favorite.
I LOVE photographing babies on the black background. It just highlights the baby so nicely. My favorite studio sessions are always the black background, and this one is no exception.
Here’s a few early favorites. Thanks for letting me photograph your sweet baby Jason & Kelly.
FBC Smyrna Staff Photos

I caught up with the staff of our wonderful church, First Baptist Church Smyrna, to take their pictures for the “Staff” page of the new website. Jason says that this page is one of the pages that is receiving the most hits, so he felt like we needed to have pictures of the staff on there to go along with their contact info.
So, here they are (minus David M. whose photo I will add tomorrow).
Thanks for a great session gang.
Bloglines

If you read a ba-zillion blogs every day like I do, you should check out Bloglines.
You can input all your blogs, and then it gives you a little desktop notifier when one of your blogs has been updated. This saves you from clicking on each one and seeing if there is a new post. You can also just click on your Bloglines page and read the updates from a central location. It’s a big timesaver and also kind of fun!
Thanks for the tip, Jamie.

Nashville Pictage User Group Meeting (TNPUG)

We snapped this picture in the parking lot as 11 of us dwindled down to 5 and stood around talking for almost an extra hour after the meeting ended tonight. L to R is Mindy & Phil, Whitney & Peter and of course I am in there too.
We had a great meeting talking about the upcoming holiday promotions that Pictage is going to run making sales appealing to our clients and profitable for our studios. Oh man, I can’t tell you how much I am in love with Pictage. They just take my photography and put it over the top with clever products and great business sense. I am fortunate to partner with them.
The Blake Family in Smyrna, TN

We had an unexpected blessing yesterday. Derek & Rhonda stopped by our house to visit with their three adorable boys - Myles, Mason & Maxwell. Brad and I had fun catching up - it’s been a few years since Derek, Brad & I all worked at the Boys & Girls Club.
Myles just started Kindergarten this year. He and I share the same birthday of August 14, and I remember how excited I was when he was born. He will always have a special place in my heart.
Mason is 3, and he is just like Derek. He wasn’t afraid to jump off out of our treehouse while we were all talking- very brave. He enjoyed picking and throwing pears off of our pear tree for Katy (the dog) to chase after.
Maxwell is the baby - his first birthday is coming up in just a few months. This was our first time to meet him in person, and he is a sweet baby. He was so laid back, and friendly. He let Brad and I both hold him with no fuss.
We are so happy to have had a nice visit, and we look forward to a real photo session in just a few short weeks! Love you guys!
Bynum Photography accepted into Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA)

I am pleased to announce that I have been accepted into the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA).
I can’t explain how excited I was to feel my Blackberry buzzing while I was in LA and reach down and receive the email.
As the website states: “WPJA Wedding Photographers are an elite group. The Wedding Photojournalist Association is a highly screened, critical organization. Less than 5% of wedding photographers out there qualify for membership.”
I give God the glory for this amazing achievement, and I am excited about the future opportunities that being a WPJA member will provide.
Huntsville Wedding - Congratulations Drew & Christine!

We had a fabulous day in Huntsville, Alabama for Drew & Christine’s wedding at Annabella at Cedar Glen. I was fortunate to have the talented and lovely Andrea Hallgren along to second shoot with me today. We had so much fun working together. It’s great to be in a community of photographers that believes in sharing and helping each other and we all benefit from it.
Drew & Christine had a beautiful wedding. Their details were in a beautiful “persimmon” color, that carried beautifully through their flowers, cakes, dresses, even Christine’s crinoline (petticoat/slip thing under her dress, for the wedding illiterate…).
The first five shots are mine, and the last four are Andrea’s.
Slideshow and a few more pics coming soon…
Congratulations guys. Your wedding was precious - just like you! Thanks for letting us share it with you.
